Finally, we’ve completed the second review of the X-Men series. The delay was worth it, if I do say so myself; Mike and I are still getting used to the editing program, but already the quality is so much better. And this was still before we got the new camera! In other words … Just Plain Series is just going to get better. I hope you enjoy the ride.
The Video we had contained lost bits of audio so it slowly became un-synced with the movie. Then the video codec was poor and nearly unreadable as it got really choppy in Premier.
To be fair Scott, like he says, isn't so upset that his kid is being told the truth. It's that he was removed from the equation. They told Charlie without involving him.
I was a bit confused as to why you didn't get redemption requires being a jerk. But then you addressed it and I'm cool again.
He didn't tell Charlie there is no Santa. He told Charlie the guy he killed wasn't Santa… very different points. So on this part, I disagree with you. The fact that the guy is dead pretty much removes the need to be worried about his weapons or anything. It's not like Santa was injured and was trying to whisper to him about "The Santa Clause" and he instead of listening started riffling for ID. (hey did I just accidentally make the movie better?)
It is a bit funny how this movie mirrors "On a Pale Horse" the first book in the Incarnations of Immortality series (originally a trilogy) by Piers Anthony. It's about a guy who kills Death and then becomes Death.
In that series it does a better job of bringing closure to the end of the previous incarnation.
Kids are told Santa brings you what you ask for when someone gets really disappointed it's not unrealistic for kids to suddenly see this as perhaps there's something wrong with this Santa Clause story you've been told. That said I will agree that the idea that this is the normal way kids react to not getting the gift they wanted is a bit much.
My problem with visiting the ex-wife isn't the whole breach of restraining order. Its that hey if it was so easy to just give them what they wanted? Why didn't the old Santa do it in the many many years since he first passed them over.
Overall I still enjoy it. It wasn't the greatest thing ever for sure but I don't hate it more than I did when it came out as you appear to.
That said I don't really remember the second one and I'm pretty sure I didn't see the third.
