If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, Pixar is re-releasing Toy Story and Toy Story II across the country starting Friday. This is obviously to promote the upcoming Toy Story III.
The double feature is going to be in 3D. While I have been wary of 3D before (especially if it is a throw away effect), there are rumors that at least one Toy Story themed short will be added in between the two movies. These characters are so wonderful and it’s a great idea to give the audience some new stuff along with the two great movies. Whether the 3D itself will work or not is yet to be seen.
I don’t know if I’ll get a chance to see it this weekend, but I encourage my readers with kids (or who don’t own the movies) to go out and enjoy these childhood classics. I’m not entirely sure how long it will be in theaters, but I know it’s at least for this weekend.
The new 3D being used now in movies is awesome! Don't be scared to try it… it's worth it and I hope that all movies were made with it.
