I’ve been seeing Toy Story 3 marketing all over the place and, being the fangirl I am, I’ve been eating it all up. Here are some of my personal favorites:
So the first is a look at the new home for the Toy Story gang. There are interviews from some of the actors, including Michael Keaton, the voice of Ken. His defense of Ken as “not a girl’s doll” is pretty funny. Sidenote: in case you didn’t know, Jodi Benson (the voice of Barbie) is better known as the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid.
The Director and Producer discuss which characters they’d want to be their partners in different activities. I especially approve of the director’s choice of business partner and dance partner.
The Director’s view on crafting the story. It’s nice to see a filmmaker admit that it isn’t always an easy process to get the story right. My boyfriend also loved the last bit of the clip with Mr. Potato Head improvising in a stressful situation.
The filmmakers explain how they were inspired by classic prison break films. FYI, there are some slight spoilers in here.
A VISA commercial I’ve been seeing all over the place. The best part of this commercial is that the board game Woody and the rest of the gang are hiding behind is named “Red Herring: A Game of Skill and Scales”.
Toy Story 3 comes out in the US on June 18.
