Could the Transformers series get any worse? Michael Bay apparently thinks so, because he is determined to make Transformers 3 another crapfest in the ever expanding crapfest known as his portfolio. Now Megan Fox is not going to be in the 3rd film, so that was a step in the right direction, right? But Bay has taken four steps back with the reported addition of NASCAR Transformers to what we can vaguely call a cast.
First of all, how are Transformers supposed to be “robots in disguise” if they’re disguised as cars that you never see on public roads. Part of the disguise is that they need to look like normal cars. NASCARs don’t even have headlights! Seems pretty noticable to me.
What is far worse is that we can just assume where Bay is going with this. Since he already offended people with the illiterate “urban” twin Transformers in the last film, I guess he wants to dip his feet into the old sterotype known as “the hillbilly.” I swear, if any of the cars sound like they are from Deliverance, I’m going to scream.
In non-crappy news, I’m heading to Florida in the morning. I’m planning on updating Just Plain Something at least once or twice in the next few days, but my time on the internet will be limited (plus… there will be a pool… and a bar). Have a good week, everyone!
You know I kind of agree with you because one of my biggest problems with the movies is that anything can became a transformers if it comes into contact with that thingy so really tha means that the transformers are simply opperating on behalf of the screenplay which can make a transformer out of anything whenever it needs be. However, Bay said that this one would be more character driven and he even hired good actors so I'm not passing on this one just yet althought I'm not anticipating it either.
