So last week, MuggleNet posted a few of the Twitter comments from Deathly Hallows cast members Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom). While some of the posts were about the general enjoyment of filming (apparently Felton has been breaking out his guitar in between scenes), Matthew wrote a particularly intriguing post:
PotterWatch #5
Ralph Fiennes is cool as. Lovely bloke too. Gave us quite the acting masterclass today. What a performance!
Now let’s think, Potter Fans; what scene could they be filming that includes Neville and Voldemort? That’s right, I’m guessing they’re shooting the final Battle for Hogwarts! How exciting is it to know they’re working on one of the most thrilling parts of the whole series? One of my favorite moments in the whole book is Neville standing up to Voldemort and you know it’s going to be awesome in the film itself. I do think they found a fantastically sinister Dark Lord in Fiennes and he is especially adept at monologing. What I wouldn’t give to be on the set for the next week or so. Well, heck, what I wouldn’t give to be on set period.
While I can’t believe I’m saying it, thank God for Twitter. Without it, we couldn’t get actors to spill nearly as many details about their projects.
On a side note, I discovered this article on The Indepedent’s site today. It says that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 comes out November 17th… of this year. Considering they are still filming the darned thing, I found it a bit unbelievable that it would be released in 10 days (FYI, it’s actually coming out November 2010). I am kind of shocked that a legitimate news source (and a British one, at that) would make such an error about such a blockbuster of a series. And in case you were wondering, yes, I am the Kschenke that commented on their mistake.
Squeeee! You're making me giddy, Katie.
Does that mean we need to arrange another Karli, Katie, Mike rendezvous in November 2010?
