United We Stand with Conan

In case you haven’t heard, NBC has been going through some… well, changes. And Conan O’Brien is more or less being kicked around and they’re trying to force him into a later time slot. But he’s already said that he will not go to 12:05. Conan is standing up, not only for himself, but for his cast, crew and the credibility of the Tonight Show itself.

We here at Just Plain Something (and when I say “we”, I mean “me) are standing behind the tall glass of orange juice known as Conan O’Brien and we give our full support to him and the everyone working at the Tonight Show. Conan is one of the funniest people in television and he deserves to be treated like it. After all, this is the Simpson’s writer who gave us the genius that is “A bee bit my bottom, now my bottom’s big.” I encourage everyone to watch his show the next few weeks and maybe we can show NBC that Conan should stay just where he is.

And to honor the Cone-Zone, here is one of the man’s funniest and most memorable bits from Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

This is one of my favorite skits from the old show. He seemed to fit right in 1864. I really feel bad for him. At least give the guy two years to esatblish himself before you make a move. He uprooted his entire family and crew from NY to LA only to be fired after seven months. This is a huge mistake from NBC, they've cancelled shows that I've liked in the past and if not for Heroes, Chuck and their Thursday night lineup they would be last in every time slot. Here's to Conan landing on his feet.
