Andy Richter Telling it Like it is and The Conan Tour

First of all, this past week Andy Richter did a guest host spot on Live with Regis and Kelly. Not shying away from what was on most of the viewers’ minds, Richter answered all of Kelly’s questions about The Tonight Show “incident” and how he feels about NBC and Leno. And you know what? He’s actually frank about it and you have to admire him a little bit for it. He also defends the show’s ratings and it does make sense. And he defends Conan and mentions how the orange one has been trying to help the staff and crew financially while they all try to find new jobs. Check out the video (and I know the video gets a little out of sync, but it starts about halfway through).

You might have caught Kelly mentioning a rumor of a Conan comedy tour. While Andy feigned ignorance, only a few days later Conan officially announced that the tour was on. Aptly named the Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour, Conan’s summer project will begin April 12 and will span 32 cities nationwide. If you think you can make it to any of the cities, buy the tickets now because they’re selling out fast!
