I caught this just in time, people. Today is the 2nd annual International Talk like William Shatner Day. If this wasn’t already impressive, it was co-founded by someone I have so much respect for; no, it’s not Shatner himself (although good guess). It’s actually Maurice LaMarche, who in addition to voicing such remarkable characters as Brain the lab mouse, Lrr of Omicron Persei 8, Calculon, Horrible Gelatinous Blob, Squit and the Tales of Interest Narrator (not to mention taking over many of the classic Looney Tunes voices over the past couple decades), he also does a swell imitation of Shatner.

Here’s LaMarche and character actor Kevin Pollack celebrating this prestigious day.

And don’t forget… he’s a rock-et-man. Burning up his fuse up here… alone! So here’s to the man who can sing a spoken-word version of a rap song. And Happy Birthday!

Side note: personally, my favorite part of the video with LaMarche was hearing him mentioning doing work for the upcoming Futurama uncancelling. It’s only a few months away now!
