OK, I’m usually pretty good about not making posts just about what I’ve done on other sites. But I did a couple awesome things for CliqueClack this week and I wanted to share. Got a problem with it? Too bad, it’s my website and I can do what I want (I mean, if that’s ok….).
OK, so the first thing I did this week was this interview with Burnie Burns and Brandon Farmahini, two of the guys from Roosterteeth Productions. They talked about their new series Immersion and the next season of Red vs. Blue. They also just put out a hilarious Christmas video that spoofs the Wikileaks scandal (watch below, then go and listen to the interview!).
The second cool thing I’ve done this week is a bit different for me. My boss at CliqueClack asked for the writers to come up with some TV-themed Christmas Carols. While I love the stuff I do here on Just Plain Something, the inspired “Draper the Ad Man” (to the melody of “Frosty the Snowman”) might be the most inspired thing I’ve ever written. Here’s a taste of what I came up with:
Draper the ad man is a quiet, somber prick
With a frosty stare, a good head of hair
And two dog tags (one said “Dick”)
With a frosty stare, a good head of hair
And two dog tags (one said “Dick”)
Draper is a man that his friends don’t really know
He learned no charm
working on the farm
And his mother was a ho.
He learned no charm
working on the farm
And his mother was a ho.
