A few months ago, I posted an interview with Daniel Radcliffe that showed his down-to-earth nature. In celebration of the release of Deathly Hallows pt. 1, Radcliffe gave this… interesting interview I felt I should share:
While this could actually be the ramblings of a impressionable celebrity with unhealthy delusions of grandeur, I’m leaning towards this being intentionally funny, especially since it’s from “Funny or Die”. This isn’t the first time Radcliffe has mocked himself and I like knowing he doesn’t take himself too seriously. I particularly liked his anger at Americans’ ignorance of Quidditch and other UK sports and his picking up chicks as The Chosen One. Also, he’s only thought he’s actually Harry Potter since Goblet of Fire, which I’m sure is better than most child stars.
By the way, if you haven’t seen DH pt. 1, I highly suggest it. Mischief managed.
Judd Apatow wrote that interview, and Radcliffe agreed to do it for laughs. It's great, because without the Funny or Die logo, it would seem authentic. Good to see that Radcliffe is up for poking fun at himself.
This is definitely a joke.
