WHO IS THIS CHICK?

My name is Katie, but I’m known to many as Kschenke. I’m in my mid-twenties and watch tons and tons of movies. I have an English Degree (Theatre Minor) from Butler University and work as a website copywriter during the day. I also write a cartoon column (among other things) for CliqueClack, which you should also read.

Just Plain Something is my beautiful, wallflower brainchild. It is primarily a movie blog, which covers movie news, dissecting movie trailers and, of course, movie reviews. JPS also includes my two webseries: the unscripted Driving Home the Movie and the scripted Just Plain Series.

I started Just Plain Something in July of 2009. While I have loved writing since I was little, I had gotten to the point where I just felt lost. I wasn’t sure if I was a good writer anymore (or if I ever was good). But I love movies and I had wanted to do a project like this for a long time. Through Just Plain Something, I was able to build a career as a writer on a number of different platforms. I am incredibly proud of the work I’ve done, but I’m even more excited for what’s to come.
